指星笔，又称激光笔，正式名称是“激光指示器”(Laser pointer)。是把可见激光设计成便携、手易握、激光模组(二极管)做成的笔型发射器。常见的激光指示器有红光(650-660nm, 635nm)、绿光(515-520nm, 532nm)、蓝光(445-450nm, 473nm)和蓝紫光(405nm)等。 激光在漆黑的夜空中由于瑞利散射的关系造成一条明亮的光柱，可作指星用途，指星笔一词由此而来。其中人的眼睛对绿光最敏感(555nm)，因此较常使用。
