天狼星（Sirius）也称做大犬座 α 星（α Canis Majoris），是除太阳外全天最亮的恒星，但是暗于金星与木星，绝大多数时间亮于火星。天狼星一般指天狼星 A，其主系统由一颗蓝白色的蓝矮星和一颗蓝色的白矮星组成，质心距离地球约为 8.6 ly。
