a family of American actors. Henry Fonda (1905—82) was noted for his roles in such films as The Grapes of Wrath (1939) and Twelve Angry Men (1957). He won his only Oscar for his role in his final film, On Golden Pond (1981). His daughter Jane (b.1937) is known for films including Klute (1971), for which she won an Oscar, and The China Syndrome (1979); she also acted alongside her father in On Golden Pond.
